Today’s post is really short, mainly because I need to go to
sleep. But I have two very simultaneously mundane and exciting things for today’s
post! First, I learned how to write my name in Thai! Here’s what it looks like
(in my handwriting)…
I've been told that my Thai looks neat enough to be assumed native script. I'm definitely getting better at it!
Second, look what I found at the grocery store today!
Crispy M&Ms! These were literally my favorite thing to
eat during Middle School. They are pretty much the greatest thing on the
planet. Except, they were discontinued in the US. They run somewhere between
$2-$6 dollars per a single serving pouch online right now. They ran me 30 baht
here, which is just under a dollar. I can’t express to you how excited I was.
Anyways, that’s about all that was new today. Classes are
going really well - I absolutely adore my students! Also, I’m picking up more
Thai! I learned my first verb today, woo! I’m off though now, I have to get up early
tomorrow. We’re going to The Crocodile Farm! It’s essentially a zoo,
but I get to bring my students along and it’s supposed to be really cool. I’m
excited, and I’ll be sure to post pictures afterword!
